Security
How Datafromfile protects your account and uploaded files, in plain language: encryption in transit, authentication, database access rules and file retention.
How your data is protected
- Encryption in transit: all traffic between your browser and Datafromfile is encrypted with TLS.
- Authentication: sign in with email/password or Google OAuth, handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are never stored or seen by Datafromfile in plain text.
- Row-level database security: a user's data is only ever readable by that user or a verified administrator, enforced at the database layer.
- Admin access control: administrator actions are authorized server-side against a cryptographically verified session on every request.
- No unnecessary file retention: uploaded documents are processed to generate your extraction result and are not stored afterward.
